This site is dedicated to the memory of Carrie L. Martin. Carrie was a wonderful, beautiful girl, who touched the lives of all those she encountered, always taking the time to find the best in everyone. She was charming and polite, with the brightest of smiles and eyes. She could walk into a room and give off an energy that was like a spring just jumping out of every part of her. Whether she was just sitting and talking to you about singing a song, or showing horses, or just jumping in her jeep to go somewhere, she left no doubt in anyone's mind that she loved life. More importantly, Carrie could laugh at herself. If Carrie were falling over her own feet, she would bounce up laughing at herself and make you laugh with her.

Unfortunately, Carrie was taken much too soon. She was just beginning to become the woman she could have been. And what a woman she would have been! Beautiful both inside and out! Carry's death has deeply affected many. This site will serve to keep her memory alive, to inform others of her achievements, and to update the public of the unfolding story of Carrie's death.

Carrie's Song

When we found out, it couldn't be true.
An awful tragedy to a loving girl like you.
You were the girl with manners, who knocked, then walked.
You said "excuse me" and "thank you" whenever you would talk.
You are our hair fairy watching us do great hair.
It's soothing to know that you're our angel up there.
That sweet, sweet smile shining through all classrooms.
A girl with an agenda that was taken much too soon.
Sadly, we will never see that smile again.
But it puts us at ease knowing you're waiting in heaven.
And though all our time awaits us--- when, we'll never know.
Carrie will be ready, waiting with her smile and her glow.
A girl full of talent; her work, we would cheer her on and clap
Whether she was doing perms, up-dos or hair wraps.
Carrie, my darling, this is your story and your song.
Students, don't cry for her, you pray for her, because she's been listening all along.
